Born and raised in Daegu, I grew up among the small churches in our area. Back then, Daegu had only a handful of churches, each with a modest congregation of 40-50 members. Even combined, they barely reached 200 people.
In this tight-knit community, getting to know each other and interacting came naturally. Although we didn't attend the same church, it was common to meet and fellowship with believers from other congregations through various church activities. Among these encounters, one person particularly caught my eye - the woman who would later become my wife.
