A Fateful Encounter in a Small Church

I still vividly remember the moment I met my life partner. It was truly a fateful encounter when I first laid eyes on the woman who would become my wife. Born and raised in Daegu, I grew up among the small churches in our area. Back then, Daegu had only a handful of churches, each with a modest congregation of 40-50 members. Even combined, they barely reached 200 people.

In this tight-knit community, getting to know each other and interacting came naturally. Although we didn't attend the same church, it was common to meet and fellowship with believers from other congregations through various church activities. Among these encounters, one person particularly caught my eye - the woman who would later become my wife.

At first, it was just a connection made through church activities. But as time passed, we grew closer, learning more about each other. Looking back now, I realize how precious and meaningful that initial meeting was.

My wife is more than just a spouse to me. She's my life companion and partner in faith. We've shared countless joys and challenges throughout my ministry, supporting each other and growing together. Her wisdom and love have continually encouraged me to become a better person, both as a pastor and as an individual.

I believe our meeting and marriage were not mere coincidence, but part of God's providence. Having met within the network of small churches, we began to dream bigger dreams together and work towards them. My wife is not only my life partner but also my fellow worker in serving the church and our local community.

Life's most important encounters sometimes happen in the most unexpected places. I watched with an open heart to see how this precious connection within our small community would transform and enrich my life. Meeting my wife has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I've come to realize that such special encounters are valuable gifts that make life all the more fulfilling.
