The Power of Positivity: A Key to a Smooth Life

Life's ups and downs are inevitable for everyone, but looking back, I realize I didn't feel those fluctuations as intensely as others might have. Perhaps it was due to my personality. Being introverted yet all-embracing, I managed to maintain a positive mindset even in challenging situations.

The poverty our generation experienced is almost unimaginable for today's youth. Not having three proper meals a day was the norm, and many students went to school on empty stomachs. We'd often start the day with a bowl of porridge and skip lunch altogether. By today's standards, we would have been called "food-insecure children." But back then, it wasn't anything special. We all lived that way, so we simply accepted it as our reality.

Some might view growing up in such conditions as a significant trauma. But I didn't see it that way. I always carried hope in my heart, thinking, "Better days will come." This positive outlook was probably inherited from my mother. The combination of her teachings and my personality allowed me to find strength to move forward rather than despair over life's circumstances.

Objectively speaking, there might have been experiences that could have left me scarred. But I rarely thought of them as "wounds." Instead, I'd reflect, "That's just how things had to be back then," and move on. I never harbored resentment or held grudges. Perhaps that's why I never felt I had anything specific to "overcome," and I felt my life had been relatively smooth sailing.

Life always presents challenges, but how we receive them determines the quality of our existence. In my experience, a positive mindset and an accepting nature became the strength that sustained me in any situation. Even circumstances that seemed difficult at the time, in retrospect, were merely part of life's journey.

All the experiences we have throughout our lives make us stronger and wiser. Rather than trying to avoid difficulties, I strived to accept them and find lessons within. And I always remembered: current hardships will pass, and better days will surely come.

This attitude towards life greatly influenced my entire journey. As a pastor, this positive mindset and inclusivity became valuable assets. They helped me lead the church community, communicate with diverse individuals, and provide comfort and counsel to those in need.

Moreover, these experiences led me to deeply contemplate the essential values of life. I realized that inner peace and personal growth were more important than material abundance. This realization was reflected in my sermons and counseling, allowing me to not only offer practical solutions but also guide my congregation towards inner growth and spiritual maturity.

Ultimately, my life experiences and attitude didn't remain confined to my personal sphere but influenced many others through me. I could demonstrate firsthand the importance of maintaining hope and a positive mindset even in difficult circumstances, and how this can transform our lives.

To this day, I strive to maintain this approach to life. The world continues to change, and new challenges arise before us, but I still carry that hope in my heart that "better days will come." This attitude has enriched my life, and I believe it will continue to do so in the future.
